HOW IT STARTED

I was born in New Jersey in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I started drawing at an early age as my father was in the billboard business. I used to watch guys paint billboards and was fascinated with how they would use all these colors and when you would stand back it would look like a cold bottle of Coca-Cola or a photograph, person, or place. I eventually went to school for Advertising Design but later discovered animation from touring the Joe Kubert School and seeing former Disney Animator Milt Neil's drawings come to life in the storyboards he had all over the walls. That is when I decided on a career in animation.

I have over 30 years of experience working as an animator and artist.  I started my career off as a traditional animator and later became a 3D animator in the game industry. I have worked for IBM Multimedia Studio, Westwood Studios, Turner Studios, Walt Disney Interactive, 989 Studios, and Sony Computer Entertainment. I have worked in Professional Sports creating graphics and animation for the Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Lightning, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Oakland Athletics.  I have animated TV series for Adult Swim and FX working for Turner Studios and Bento Box. I have had the opportunity to work on licensed characters for Cartoon Network, Hanna Barbera, and Disney.  I have also worked for several start-ups and smaller animation and production studios. I guess you could say I've been around the block as far as my animation career goes.

I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wife and new baby daughter and 2 dogs. I'm a huge baseball fan and have a part-time job working for MLB as a Game Compliance Monitor during the baseball season.
